Kabir Khan's Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan has proved luckier than previous Hindi films that dealt with Indo-Pak relations.

While Akshay Kumar starrer Baby and Saif Ali Khan's Agent Vinod were banned in Pakistan, the Salman Khan starrer has been cleared by the Lahore censor board.

On Tuesday, July 14, the censor board passed Bajrangi Bhaijaan with only two prominent cuts.

“The two cuts  were a shot of the Pakistani embassy which they have asked to be deleted.

“Another was a shot of a Maulvi at the border saying, ‘Radhe Shyam’. Besides these two cuts, the board welcomed the film's message of cross-border peace,” a source informs.

Reports claimed that Bajrangi Bhaijaan had already been censored in Islamabad and Karachi, but its fate would be determined by whether or not it gets approved by the Lahore censor board, according to The Express Tribune.

Thanks to this new development, the film can release in India and Pakistan on its scheduled release date of July 17.
