The latest updates from the Tamil film industry.

Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi, which was to release on May 20, has been postponed to June 3.

With two mega successes -- Pizza and Jigarthanda -- under his belt, expectations are sky high from the latest film.

Not to forget, the gripping trailer with a galaxy of stars -- S J Surya, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Anjali, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Radharavi and Karunakaran -- has created quite a buzz.

Produced by CV Kumar, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

Bobby Simha's Metro gets the green signal

After some trouble with the Censor Board, Bobby Simha’s Metro has been cleared for release with an ‘A’ certificate.

The Censor Board had earlier banned the film, claiming anti-social content and explicit violence. The makers, however, declared that the story revolved around a socially relevant theme.

The latest, we hear, is that the matter has been resolved favorably. After a few essential cuts, the film has been given a go ahead.

Directed by Anandakrishnan, the film features Shirish, Bobby Simha and Sendrayan.

Bobby will be seen as an antagonist in the film.

Metro is expected to hit the screens in June.
