A look at the box office queens.

Most of the top actresses have had a major release already this year. And most of their films have been box office successes.

Kangana Ranaut continued her march to the top, but Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma kept their date with success as well.

Here are the actresses who have raked in the most moolah at the box office in India this year so far.

Despite the disastrous Bombay Velvet, Anushka Sharma is among the top actresses this year.

She started off well with the dark thriller, NH10.

She had a small part in Dil Dhadakne Do, but her star presence certainly counted.

Next year, she will be seen in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Box office collection: Rs 111 crore (Dil Dhadakne Do: Rs 78 crore*, NH10: Rs 33 crore)

 Taapsee Pannu

Baby didn't require Taapsee to be romantic or funny. Instead, she had to kick hard. Literally.

Taapsee Pannu did so, and with style.

She wasn't paired opposite Akshay Kumar in the conventional sense and appeared only in the second half of the film. But even in this limited appearance, she made her presence count.

Bhumi Pednekar is a surprise entry in this list, and is the only debutante to do so.

Sunny Leone

Though Ek Paheli Leela did not cover the distance that Ragini MMS 2 did, it was a decent success and a good start to the year for Sunny Leone.

Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, the film that came immediately after, however, was a disaster.

But Sunny is still one of the hottest leading ladies in Bollywood.
