The condition of Abraham, who injured his left ankle and knee after his motorbike skidded while avoiding a pedestrian crossing in suburban Khar late Saturday night, is stable. After the accident, Abraham himself went to Lilavati hospital for an x-ray and was advised hospitalisation.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case of negligent driving against the actor. Once he is discharged, he is likely to be arrested. Police say the offence is bailable. This is the second time the actor has been hospitalised since December last year, when he contracted bronchitis while shooting for a film in Afganisthan.
