Janet Jackson will play a familiar role -- herself -- on an episode of the comedy that will air in the US on September 23 (maybe we will see it on Zee English sometime next year), according to People magazine.
Sean Hayes, who plays the hilarious Jack, will play one of her backup dancers.
The guest appearance will be Jacko's kid sister's first role on television in nearly two decades.
Her last prime-time role was as Cleo Hewitt on NBC's Fame (1984-1985). The singer, who released her album Damita Jo in March, also appeared in the comedies Diff'rent Strokes and Good Times.
Meanwhile the National Football League, which was plagued by Jackson's wardrobe malfunction at this year's Super Bowl show produced by MTV, announced it has assumed full control of all entertainment related to its games.
Does that mean it's goodbye to ripoffs?
