Reports suggest that the Federal Communications Commission is planning to fine 20 CBS-owned stations for the SuperBowl telecast goofup. The penalty: a heavy $550,000.
CBS, however, will contest any federal fines levied against it, says People magazine.
The magazine quotes the network chief, Leslie Moonves, as saying: "We are going to take it up to the courts if that happens."
