'Indians don't kiss.' Actress reacts to Nihalani's cuts

Bidita Bag, heroine of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, has taken on Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani after he ordered 48 cuts in her film which is slated to release on August 25.

In her Instagram post Bidita wrote, "Indians don't kiss, Indians don't use cuss words. #Sanskari, #BabumoshaiBandookbaaz #CBFC."  

Bollywood heroines generally avoid taking on the Central Board of Film Certification or its chief but Bidita made has no bones about how she feels over the CBFC's cuts in her film.

Nihalani told the Hindustan Times newspaper that whatever cuts have been ordered in Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is according to board's mandate.

The censor board has asked the director and producer to cut 48 scenes from their film if they want to release it on August 25.

"That's our job as per rules," Nihalani told Hindustan Times.

Bidita has also posted a link to the newspaper report in her Instagram post.
