'My life is pretty much the same. I still have the same set of friends that I had for the last eight-nine years. But the industry's reaction has changed. There is appreciation and respect now.'

Mouni Roy returns with Naagin.

Television actress Mouni Roy is all set to charm the audience once again.

After garnering terrific TRP ratings and winning awards, her supernatural show Naagin will return for Season Two.

"The responsibility is bigger now," Mouni says. "If this season does well, it will rewrite history. In season one, after the first episode, we all were praying and hoping that we get 2 plus TRP and it opened at 4.3. We were surprised and weeks after that, it was 6 plus. I think it happened because of Ekta (Kapoor, producer) mam’s vision and team’s hard work."

"I am petrified of snakes. Thank God I don’t need to act with one," she says.

"I hope this season does well because I see potential in the story. The story will raise curiosity every five minutes, with the introduction of characters and plot. There is pressure because of the expectations but we are doing our best."

In the second season, Mouni will play both mother and daughter. This time, she will romance Karanvir Bohra. Her previous love interest Arjun Bijlani will not be a part of the new season.

"My character Shivanya and Rithvik (played by Bijlani) had a good chemistry. Now Shivangi and Rocky (Karanvir Bohra) will create their own kind of chemistry and the journey that would also be enduring," she says.

Though Mouni has done many television shows since she made her acting debut with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, it's Naagin that has brought her huge success.

"My life is pretty much the same. I still have the same set of friends that I had for the last eight-nine years. But the industry's reaction has changed. There is appreciation and respect now. It feels good," she says.

Who's she biggest competitor in the industry? She replies instantly: "My best friend Sanjeeda Sheikh."

Apart from acting, Mouni is also popular for being a fashionista and her social media accounts are testimony to that.

Mouni says,"I always had an eye for dressing. I need to be over dressed even while grocery shopping, not with make up on but the outfit needs to be nice. I love clothes and I understand fabric. I have a very good stylist Rishika in So You Think You Can Dance (the reality show that Mouni is hosting). She is very good for me. She understands my style and sense of dressing."
