Bollywood has found its new mission...
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat drive and nominated nine famous personalities to carry out the cleanliness drive in their localities, several enthusiastic movie stars came forward.
While Priyanka Chopra, one of the nine celebs to be nominated obliged without much fanfare, noted lyricist Javed Akhtar turned up at the Mumbai Central station to wield his broom.
Here's a look at several others who have participated in the drive and urged their fans to do the same.
Vivek Oberoi
The actor became the latest Bollywood star to weild a jhaadu for the cleanliness drive on November 4.
Vivek turned up in Juhu, a western Mumbai suburb, to take part in the initiative organised by the Cancer Patient Aid Association (CPAA) of Mumbai.
Hrithik Roshan
The Bang Bang hitmaker took to the Juhu bylanes, the tony western Mumbai suburb where he lives in a swanky high rise, to clean out the garbage.
'Wish my children ver here wth me 2watch their daddy help clean d neighbourhood. No better way 2 teach dan by example,' he tweeted with the picture above.
Amitabh Bachchan
The Big B, who owns five sprawling properties in Juhu, also came forward to take part in the initiative.
Salman Khan
Kick star Salman Khan, who famously met up with Modi ahead of the 16th Lok Sabha polls earlier this year, has been a part of the initiative too. Salman's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh (left) chips in.
Nagarjuna
South star Nagarjuna represents the South Film Industry in this nationwide drive.
Veteran actor/filmmaker Kamal Haasan was one of Modi's nine nominations.
Subhash Ghai
Filmmaker Subhash Ghai lends his star power to the cause too.
