Veteran film-maker Hrishikesh Mukherjee was admitted to a private hospital early on Tuesday.
Mukherjee has not been keeping well for quite some time and was shifted to Lilavati Hospital after he complained of uneasiness, sources said.
He has been put on ventilator and is under observation, they added.
Some of his films include Anand, Abhimaan, Namak Haram, Chupke Chupke and Golmaal.
