'Anurag Kashyap is such a funny, happy, person in real life. I don't why that joy doesn't show up in his cinema.'

Johri, a village in Uttar Pradesh's Jat heartland Baghpat, is currently teeming with activity.

Producer Anurag Kashyap has landed there with actresses Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar to shoot Saand Ki Aankh, a bio-pic on two iconic matriarchs of the village, Daadi Chandro and Daadi Prakashi.

"For those expecting cat fights between me and Bhumi, sorry to disappoint you. We are getting along just fine," Taapsee tells Subhash K Jha from Johri.

"We're already bonding beyond the camera. When we're not shooting, we talk about the local food, places to visit, everything except our film together."

Taapsee says the locals have extended heartwarming hospitality to the crew. "The villagers throng the location in the wintry nights, not the least caring about the chill. They stand for hours silently staring at our shooting. The fact that a film is being made on the two most distinguished women of Johri gives them a sense of pride."

Unlike Kashyap's other films, reveals Taapsee, Saand Ki Aankh is a happy film.

"Anurag Kashyap is such a funny, happy, person in real life. I don't why that joy doesn't show up in his cinema. I can only assure you he won't do a dark film with me. Manmarziyaan and now Saand Ki Aankh are films radiating happiness.'

"So I can take credit for changing Anurag's cinematic mood."
