This year: Things will be different, livelier and more colourful, post two years of muted celebrations after the September 11 attacks. Enzo Angileri told People magazine, "I expect the Oscars to be a feast of glamour."

Angileri will be the hairstylist for Charlize Theron and Holly Hunter.

What you will see: A profusion of "colours and chiffons and very flowy goddess dresses because it's springtime and because last year was sort of a subdued year," celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch told People.

Celebrity presenters: John Travolta, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Julianne Moore, Tom Hanks, and more.

Possible Oscar winners: Several shows on US television have been pointing to some winners. Not very surprisingly, The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King is a clear contender, winning the International Film Award by the Directors' Guild of Great Britain, honours at the 10th annual SAG Awards.

Catch the action on: Sunday, February 29, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
