Kaante director Sanjay Gupta was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital on Friday, following a road accident near Lonavala, a two-hour drive from Mumbai.
According to sources, Gupta's car went out of control and hit a pole. He sustained a fracture of his rib cage. He has also injured his left hand.
The director's latest film, Kaante starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kumar Gaurav and Lucky Ali, released last Friday, December 20.
