Contrary to reports about Ajay Devgn charging S S Rajamouli a huge fee for his guest appearance in RRR, the actor is doing the film for free.
According to reliable sources, when the director approached Devgn for a cameo in his ambitious film, he offered the same amount that was being paid to lead stars Ram Charan Teja and NTR Jr.
But Devgn declined the offer.
"Rajamouli's producers were willing to pay him his full market price, but Ajay did not want a single penny for his guest appearance," a source tells Subhash K Jha.
Rajamouli and Ajay go back a long way.
They had warmed up to each other after Rajamouli's 2012 film Eega was dubbed and released in Hindi as Makkhi.
Devgn loved Makkhi and had wanted Rajamouli to make a Hindi film for him.
Eight years later, they are coming together.
