Telugu director Chandrasekhar Yeleti comes up with different themes for his films like Aithe, Anukokonda Oka Roju, Okkadunnadu and Prayanam.

Now, he is coming up with a new theme in his latest film, Saahasam, starring Gopichand and Taapsee Pannu. Shakti Kapoor will also star, in a negative role.

Sahasam starts in 1947 during the Partition and moves to contemporary times,” said Yeleti, at the film's trailer launch.

The hero,

who is an ATM guard, goes on a treasure hunt.

"The film is largely shot in Ladakh as the terrain was suitable for this kind of film,” said Yeleti. “We shot there for a month. It was tough as the oxygen was low. We faced numerous obstacles but it was worth it as the film will be a new experience for viewers."

"I learnt horse riding for this film," says Gopichand. It’s a new story and a new pattern of narrating.”

Gopichand teams up with Yeleti after a gap of almost six years. Their last film together was Okkudunnadu in 2007.

Sahasam is slated to release shortly.
