Goodbye, Shashi Kapoor

Even the heavens shed tears at the Eternal Charmer's passing.

Bollywood folk turned up in large numbers to bid Shashi Kapoor farewell at the Santa Cruz crematorium, north west Mumbai.

Shashiji was given a State funeral, with a three-gun salute.

Shashiji's sons, Kunal Kapoor (with the beard) and Karan Kapoor.

 

Karan, Shashiji's younger son, is a well-known photographer based in England.

Tinnu Anand -- who directed Shashiji in Duniya Meri Jeb Mein -- and wife Shahnaz Vahanvaty whose father Agha, the legendary comedian, acted with Prithviraj Kapoor in Teen Bahuraniyan, one of the thespian's final movies.
