Yet another awards function is set to make its debut this year.
The Global Indian Film Awards will be held in Dubai at the Al Wasal Stadium on January 27.
The jury will consist of film personalities like Aziz Mirza, Om Puri, Kabir Bedi, Umesh Mehra, Feroz Nadiadwala, Bharti Pradhan and Priti Hiranandani (of Hiranandani Constructions). They will nominate films in various categories but the winners will be selected through voting by the people of UAE.
GIFA will coincide with the Dubai shopping festival. Celebrations will include moonlight desert safaris, celebrity football matches and parties.
