Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal and Meena in the lead, was the biggest hit in the history of Malayalam cinema.

The shooting of the Telugu remake of the film is now completed. It is presented by D Rama Naidu and produced by Suresh Productions in its golden jubilee year, with Raajkumar Theatres Pvt Ltd and Wide Angle Creations. Drishyam is directed by Sripriya.

Venkatesh steps into the shoes of Mohanlal, while Meena reprises the role played in the Malayalam original. Nadia is the police officer, a role originally played by Asha Sarath.

The film is shot in Hyderabad, Vizianagaram, Araku Valley and Kerala.

It is written by Parachuri Brothers, captured on camera by S Gopal Reddy, edited by Marthand K Venkatesh with music by Sharrath.

Currently under post-production, Drishyam is likely to release in July.
