The 2010 Malayalam film Bodyguard, directed by Siddique, starring Dileep and Nayantara, is being remade in quite a few languages.

After Kavalan in Tamil (Vijay, Asin), Bodyguard (Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor) in Hindi, it's also being made as Ganga, the Bodyguard in Telugu.

While Siddique directed the Tamil and Hindi versions, Gopichand Malineni (of Don Seenu fame)
is directing the Telugu one. Bellamkonda Suresh is the producer. It has Thaman SS scoring the music to Bhaskarabhatlaand Ramjogaiah Sastry's lyrics.

Venkatesh stars along with Trisha. Others in the cast include Prakas Raj, Subbaraju and Venu Madhav.

Superstar Venkatesh said that the film has "an interesting plot. There is a freshness to it. I play a different bodyguard, not the six-pack one."

Venkatesh's last film Nagavalli released last December.
