FIRST LOOK: The newest Kapoor grandson on the block

Between Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Raj Kapoor's grandkids rule Bollywood.

And now their cousin is showing up at the party.

Armaan Jain, son of Raj Kapoor's daughter Reema Jain, is all set with his Bollywood debut, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, a film marking the directorial debut of Imtiaz Ali's younger brother, Arif Ali.

Starring Jain alongside Deeksha Seth -- an actress making her Hindi film debut after having starred in several films down South -- the trailer for the romantic comedy has both casual, relatable moments as well as overdone, trying-too-hard moments.

The film looks to be modern but, at least from this trailer and its potty-jokes, appears a tad juvenile.

Armaan's cousin Kareena is married to Saif Ali Khan, and the Nawab is the man co-producing the film.

From a first impression, Armaan looks relatively unimpressive, a basic actor in what appears to be an undemanding role.

There are moments (especially those where he widens his eyes) in which he appears to have a Raj Kapoor look, but mostly Jain evokes memories of his uncle Rajeev "Chimpoo" Kapoor, the star of Ram Teri Ganga Maili.

Will this new youngster live up to that illustrious family tag?

Will the fact that he doesn't share the Kapoor surname reduce pressure and expectations and let him do his own thing?

And will Imtiaz Ali's brother pull something fun out of a hat?

All will be clear when Lekar Hum Deewana Dil hits theatres on July 4.
