Oopiri marks Tamil actor Karthi's Telugu debut.

Akkineni Nagarjuna's latest film, a bilingual titled Oopiri in Telugu and Thozha in Tamil, sees him share screen space with Tamil actor Karthi Sivakumar.

Oopiri is the official remake of widely acclaimed French comedy-drama The Intouchables but the script has been revised for Indian audiences.

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Prasad V Potluri (under PVP Cinemas), Oopiri also has Tamannaah Bhatia, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Gabriella in significant parts.

Anushka Shetty and Adivi Sesh will be seen in cameos.

Karthi, whose Tamil films have done well in their dubbed Telugu version, makes his Telugu debut with Oopiri.

Gopi Sunder has composed the film's music, cinematography is by PS Vinod and editing by National award winner Sreekar Prasad.

Oopiri is currently under production.
