Says the film’s co-producer Ahmed Khan, "We had an idea for a sequel even while we were shooting Ek Paheli Leela. We wanted to see how the first film is received. Leela has proved profitable for all of us."
Apparently, the film's star Sunny Leone, who left for Los Angeles with husband Daniel Weber on Monday post the film’s release, is keen to build a Leela franchise.
Both my friend and partner Bhushan Kumar and I were very happy to work with Sunny. She is a thorough professional and her husband is the least interfering guy I’ve seen in an actress’ life. It would be a pleasure to work with Sunny again," Khan adds.
The film has been directed by Ahmed Khan's brother Bobby Khan.
