Double Barrel to release on the Internet

The much-awaited film Double Barrel: Iratta Kuzhal, directed by Amen fame Lijo Jose Pellissery, will release on the Internet, in countries other than India and the Gulf region.

The wacky thriller has Prithviraj, Arya, Indrajith and Asif Ali in the lead roles. The film has been shot in Kerala and Goa.

After the Premam piracy issue, the filmmakers are seeking new ways to take on the menace and if the Internet release turns out to be successful, more films could follow suit.

Double Barrel is an Onam release.

Mammootty replaces Suresh Gopi

Scenarist and director A K Sajan had announced his forthcoming film with Suresh Gopi in the lead, but the latest is that the hero has been replaced by Mammootty.

If rumours are to be believed, Mammootty’s character is a lawyer and a communist.

Nayantara, who was recently seen as his heroine in Bhaskar The Rascal, is all set to be the heroine.

Fahadh Faasil in Ayaal Njanalla

Actor-turned-filmmaker Vineeth Kumar’s Ayaal Njanalla, with story by Ranjith,will hit the screens on July 31.

Fahadh Faasil plays the lead, as a Malayali, who is now settled in Gujarat.

Divya Pillai and Mridula Murali are the heroines.

Ayaal Njanalla is being produced by Dr T A Sundar Menon under the banner, Sun Ads and Film Productions.

Shamdat is the cinematographer and Manu Ramesan is the music director.
