Thespian Dilip Kumar was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra, Mumbai, on Wednesday, after his blood pressure and blood sugar levels shot up, said wife Saira Banu.
"It could be due to the food he's eaten or the stress -- he has attended a few functions over the last couple of days," she said.
Kumar, who has been admitted to the intensive care unit, is now being monitored closely. Banu added, "He [Kumar] is better today although his condition caused us some worry [earlier]."
