Lane, 39, and Brolin, 36, were engaged last July a few months after she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for Unfaithful. They were introduced by Brolin's stepmother, Barbra Streisand, and had been dating for more than 18 months.
Both Lane and Brolin have been married before. The actress has a 10-year-old daughter Eleanor from actor Christopher Lambert, whom she divorced in 1994. Brolin has a son, Trevor, 16, and a daughter Eden, 11, with actress Alice Adair. Their marriage ended in 1992.
