Dhanush teams up with Karthik Subbaraj

Dhanush has been in the news for all the right reasons this year. The versatile actor has been juggling several important projects. 

He is currently shooting for Gautham Menon's gangster film Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta, after which he will join filmmaker Marjane Satrapi for his Hollywood project, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir.

National award-winning director Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai is also in the cards.

Despite the hectic schedule, the latest we hear is that Dhanush has signed his next project with the acclaimed Karthik Subbaraj of Jigarthanda fame.

The actor confirmed this on his official Twitter handle: 'Glad to announce that I'm doing my new film with the very talented Karthick subburaj. Shoot in September. God bless.'

Dhanush also announced that he has finished dubbing for Prabhu Solomon's romantic thriller Thodari, which is expected to release in June.

'Finished dubbing for thodari. Very very very excited about the way the film has shaped up. Can't wait for you guys to watch it,' he posted.

R S Durai Senthilkumar's political drama Kodi, in which he shares screen space with the gorgeous Trisha for the first time, is also slated for release in the next few months.

And if that is not enough, Dhanush’s fans have more reason to cheer!

The actor topped the list for Chennai Times’ Most Desirable Man of 2015.

Dhanush beat top names like Ajith, Vijay, Vikram, Suriya, Arvind Swamy, Nivin Pauly, Rana Daggubati and several others.

The elated actor took to Twitter to thank his fans, 'A big thank you to all my well wishers, fans &friends for voting me as #ChennaiTimes #MostDesirable Man. Love you all'

Dhanush's Amma Kanakku release delayed

Dhanush has also been very busy as a producer. His film Visaranai bagged three National Awards this year.

The actor’s next production venture is the Tamil remake of debutante director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari's Nil Battey Sannata, which released on April 22.

The Hindi version received rave reviews and expectations are high for the Tamil version, which was to release on the same date. But there has been no announcement as to why the release date has been pushed forward.

Amala Paul will be seen reprising Swara Bhaskar's role, while Revathi will play Ratna Pathak Shah’s character.
