Do you know what Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl and The Haunted Mansion have in common?

Both Johnny Depp's Oscar-nominated box office stunner and the less successful Eddie Murphy flick, as well as the Disney movie, The Country Bears, are based on rides in Southern California's Disneyland, which celebrates its 50th anniversary on June 15, 2005.

Now, an action adventure film based on the California Disneyland ride, The Jungle Cruise, is on the way, says the Hollywood Reporter.

'It's completely inspired by and relates to the ride and will contain elements of the ride in the story,' said David Hoberman, who will produce the film; the stars and launch date are yet to be finalised.

The ride, which can also be sampled at Florida's Walt Disney World, puts passengers aboard a tramp steamer as it travels the Rivers of the World through hippo, elephant and rhino-infested waters. En route, there also is an African veldt with a trapped safari and the treacherous Schweitzer Falls.
