The project, to be directed by Spike Lee, revolves around a cop trying to confuse a bank robber in a hostage situation, Zap2It said, quoting The Hollywood Reporter.
Lee has earlier worked with Washington in Mo' Better Blues, Malcolm X and He Got Game.
