Deepika Padukone signs on for the yet-to-be-titled Sahir Ludhianvi bio-pic, reports Subhash K Jha.
Priyanka Chopra’s loss is Deepika Padukone’s gain.
After Priyanka said no to the Sahir Ludhianvi bio-pic to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika, who has just completed Padmavati with the director, has stepped into her fourth Bansali film.
This time, she will play the celebrated poet Amrita Pritam, who was poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi’s muse.
The role of Sahil Ludhianvi will be essayed by Abhishek Bachchan.
The film will be directed by debutant Jasmeet Reen, who has written the John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha starrer, Force 2, and is credited by IMDB as the writer for this film as well.
