Late wrestler-turned-actor Dara Singh's wife, Surjit Kaur Randhawa, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. She was 72.

'Singh's wife passed away this morning. She had cancer and fought it for nine years,' a statement issued on behalf of her son Vindu Dara Singh.

Surjit was Singh's second wife. The last rites will be performed at 6 pm this evening at the Juhu crematorium in suburban Mumbai.

The 83-year-old wrestler-actor had passed away in 2012 following a cardiac arrest.
