India is indeed shining.
On Monday, we woke up to the news that A R Rahman won the BAFTA award in the best music score category for Slumdog Millionaire. Besides Rahman, Resul Pookutty also did India proud when he received the prize for the best sound.
And the good news didn't just stop there.
There was a strong Indian presence at the Grammy awards too. Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain won in the Contemporary World Music Album category for his collaborative album Global Drum Project.
