Christian Bale is reportedly in talks with Sony to play Steve Jobs.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, sources revealed that the move comes after the Batman series star negotiations with Fox to star in The Deep Blue Goodbye hit a roadblock.

Sources said that Fox was trying to include sequel options for the 40-year-old actor to tackle the lead role of Detective Travis McGee in what was hoped to be a franchise starter, but the actor walked out over compensation and control issues.

Danny Boyle will be directing the yet-untitled Jobs film.

Neil Patrick Harris to host 2015 Academy Awards

According to the Variety, the 41-year-old actor will follow the footsteps of Ellen DeGeneres, whose helming of the 2014 awards show was considered a success, the Guardian reported.

The How I Met Your Mother actor recently hosted the Tony awards and the Emmys successfully.
