Bollywood mourns death of veteran actress Sulabha Deshpande

The Bollywood film fraternity has expressed condolences on the sad demise of veteran theatre and film actor Sulabha Deshpande, who passed away on June 4, following a prolonged illness.

Deshpande took her last breath at her Mumbai residence. Her funeral will be held today at the Dadar crematorium at 5.30 pm.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to his Twitter handle to express condolence and tweeted, "Sad to hear about Sulabha Deshpande. Will always be remembered for her immense Contribution to Marathi theatre & Hindi Cinema. #RIP."

Rishi Kapoor: 'RIP. Sulbha Deshpande. Worked with both her and her late husband Arvind Deshpande in the film Duniya.'

Madhuri Dixit: 'Sad to know about the demise of Sulabha Deshpandeji. What a lovely, warm person and wonderful actress! Also RIP boxing legend Muhammad Ali.'

Sharing Sulabha's picture, Raveena Tandon wrote, 'Rest in Peace..'

Lata Mangeshkar: 'Bahut acchi Abhinetri Sulabha Deshpande ji aaj hamare bich nahi rahi. Mujhe bahut dukh hai.'

Dipannita Sharma: R.I.P #SulabhaDespande. No words to describe what a loss it is.'

Sulabha, who had acted in over 73 movies, mainstream Bollywood as well as art house cinema, had also featured in several Marathi and TV serials.
