'Amitji's character wants to live to be 120,' 120 Not Out director Umesh Shukla tells Subhash K Jha.

Umesh Shukla's 102 Not Out will feature Amitabh Bachchan as a 102-year-old man who wants to break the current world record of longevity.

Rishi Kapoor plays his 75-year old son.

The two actors -- who have acted together before 40 years ago -- are expected to get comfortable as the centenarian dad and septuagenarian son through extensive rehearsals where prosthetics will be kept at a minimum.

Umesh wants Bachchan and Kapoor to get the body language and speech patterns of this peculiar parent-child without the props of prosthetics.

"Amitji plays a man who wants to break the record of the longest-living man in the world," says Umesh. "There is a man in China who is 118 years old. Amitji's character wants to live to be 120."

102 Not Out, which Umesh describes as funny and yet very sad, is written by Saumya Joshi, whose brother Professor Abhijat Joshi wrote Raj Kumar Hirani's Munnabhai films, 3 Idiots and PK.

"Like my Oh My God," says Umesh, " 102 Not Out is based on a very Gujarati successful play."
