British historical drama The King's Speech is leading the nominations for this year's Baftas with 14 nods.

Tom Hooper's film about King George VI is up for best film and director while Colin Firth is up for best actor.

Second on the nominations list is Black Swan with 12, followed by Inception, which got 9, and fourth place was taken by 127 Hours and True Grit, both scoring 8.

Facebook film The Social Network received six nominations, while Alice In Wonderland got 5, and Made In Dagenham and The Kids Are All Right got 4

'It's a very good year for the Brits. Even some of the American films that are nominated have British directors,' the BBC quoted Bafta deputy chairman David Parfitt as saying.

'British film has always punched above its weight in the film world,' he added.
