Bachchans, Ranveer grieve with Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji's friends make sure to stand by her side at her father Ram Mukherjee's prayer service.

Rani Mukerji's director father Ram Mukherjee, who directed movies like Hum Hindustani, Leader and Ek Bar Mooskura Do, passed away on October 22. 

While not too many film personalities attended the funeral, held on the same afternoon, many turned up at the chautha.

The prayer service was held at the ISKCON temple in Juhu, a western Mumbai suburb, on October 25.

Raja's wife Jyoti, their son and his mother, Krishna, arrive.

 

Amitabh Bachchan arrives with wife Jaya, son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya.

The Bachchan men have done many films with Rani.

Amitabh has acted with her in films like Babul, Black and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... while Abhishek has done Yuva, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai...

Both father and son shared the screen with her in Bunty Aur Babli.

 

The talents of Yash Raj Films made sure to be with Rani in her moment of grief.

Vaani Kapoor, who was launched by the banner in Shuddh Desi Romance opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and later starred in Aditya Chopra's Befikre opposite Ranveer Singh, walks in.

 

Aamir Khan came with wife Kiran Rao.

Aamir was one of Rani's earliest heroes in Ghulam (1998).

 

Asha Parekh had got a break with Filmalaya Studios, which was co-founded by Ram Mukherjee. He also directed her in Hum Hindustani.
