Even as theatres get ready to open their doors, the OTT platform is as busy as ever, churning out new content for its viewers.

Joginder Tuteja lists the films and Web shows coming up.

 

Poison 2
Where to watch: ZEE5
Release date: October 16

Poison, starring Tanuj Virwani, Arbaaz Khan, Freedy Daruwala and Riya Sen, was quite a success.

Now, the sequel arrives with a totally new story.

Directed by Vishal Pandya (of Hate Story II and III fame), this is also a revenge drama, and stars Aftab Shivdasani and Raai Laxmi.

 

Comedy Couple
Where to watch: ZEE5
Release date: October 21

Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad play a couple who perform stand-up comedy shows together.

 

Mirzapur 2
Where to watch: Amazon Prime
Release date: October 23

Mirzapur 2 is among the most awaited Web series of the year.

With a stellar cast headed by Pankaj Tripathi along with Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal and Vijay Verma, the second season promises a lot of action.

 

A Suitable Boy
Where to watch: Netflix
Release date: October 23

Mira Nair's mini-series A Suitable Boy opened to good reviews in the UK, and it arrives in India this month.

Starring Tanya Maniktala, Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Rasika Dugal, Shahana Goswami and Namit Das, the six-episode series is based on Vikram Seth's bestseller.

 

Taish
Where to watch: ZEE5
Release date: October 29

Shaitan Director Bejoy Nambiar transforms Pulkit Samrat and Harshvardhan Rane from their Sanam Re, Fukrey and Sanam Teri Kasam image.

Kriti Kharbanda looks interesting too.

Taish arrives as a Web series as well as a film.

 

Kaali Khuhi
Where to watch: Netflix
Release date: October 30

Kaali Khuhi looks like a dark tale based on rural legend.

Spearheaded by Shabana Azmi, this dramatic affair has been put together by Producers Anku Pande and Ramon Chibb and Director Terrie Samundra.

Satyadeep Misra and Sanjeeda Sheikh come together for this Netflix film.

 

Laxmmi Bomb
Where to watch: Disney + Hotstar
Release date: November 9

Laxmmi Bomb chose to take the OTT route when there were no signs of theatres reopening soon.

Originally meant for an Eid release, the Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani film will now see a Diwali arrival.

Raghava Lawrence remakes his Tamil horror hit Kanchana in Hindi.

 

Chhalaang
Where to watch: Amazon Prime
Release date: November 13

Ready for release for a while now, this feel good film was slated to release in theatres.

But with the COVID situation, Chhalaang has been pushed for a straight-to-OTT arrival.

The film brings together Rajkummar Rao with his favourite director Hansal Mehta, with whom he has done the most films.

Nushrat Bharucha is the leading lady in the comedy.
