Amritsar boy Suleiman wins India's Got Talent

Amritsar boy Suleiman, 16,  won the seventh edition of India's Got Talent.

Suleiman received a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh, a Maruti Suzuki Celerio car and an especially crafted trophy engraved with the signatures of show’s judges. Kirron Kher, Malaika Arora Khan and Karan Johar.

The youngster's musical talent comes from his parents, who are professional musicians. While Suleiman takes after his father, a flute player, his sister took after his mother, who plays the harmonium.

Along with the flute, his father also taught him how to play the tabla, keyboard, harmonium and guitar.

 

In the grand finale, Suleiman had to compete against season favourites: Incredible Mallakhamb, Akash and Atharva, and Antara and Papai.

 

Suleiman began learning flute at the age of three. He is the disciple of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiya.

 

Motivating and cheering the outstanding performances put forth by the finalists were 24: Season 2's Jai Singh Rathod aka Anil Kapoor.

 

The latest season was presented by comedian Bharti Singh and actor Siddharth Shukla.

 

Dishoom cast Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham were also present to cheer the talents.

 

Malaika Arora Khan gave a great performance as always.

 

The finale was a grand extravaganza infused with an array of amazing performances and heartwarming comments by the special guests and jury.
