Akshay to star in Awara Paagal Deewana sequel?

Producer Firoz Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar had reportedly a fall-out after their hit films Hera Pheri and its sequel Phir Hera Pheri, and so the actor opted out of the third film in the installment, which is currently being filmed.

But it's all in the past now.

Apparently, Nadiadwala, happy with the success of his latest film Welcome Back, hopes to make up with his old friend.

If sources are to be believed, the producer has approached Akshay with the olive branch, namely the sequel to their 2002 hit Awara Paagal Deewana.

And Akshay has apparently agreed in principle to take it up.

"Akshay may be in Awara Paagal Deewana," Nadiadwala says. "The rest of the core cast are Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever."

But director Vikram Bhatt will not be a part of the sequel.
