Superstar Rajnikanth's eldest daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth is all set to don the director's hat for the first time. She will direct her husband Dhanush, this year's National Award winner, in her debut film.

Aishwarya has assisted her brother-in-law Selvaraghavan in his last film Aayirathil Oruvan.

Now that Rajnikanth is back in
Chennai, hale and hearty, it is back to work for his two daughters. His other daughter Soundarya will produce her father's next film Rana, starring the superstar and Deepika Padukone.

On July 28, noted director Selvaraghavan, who is the elder brother of Dhanush, and script writer of this untitled film, launched Production Five.

Shruti Haasan was rumoured to be paired opposite Dhanush but it now it's Amala Paul who has been reportedly roped in to play the lead in Aishwarya's first directorial venture.
