After Rajinikanth, Pa Ranjith will direct Suriya

Director Pa Ranjith, whose popularity has grown exponentially after working with superstar Rajinikanth in Kabali will soon move on to his next project.

According to reports, the young director will team up with Suriya for his next film. Apparently, the actor was very impressed with Pa Ranjith's Madras with his younger brother Karthi in 2014.

The duo was to work together earlier, but Ranjith got an opportunity to direct Rajinikanth and Suriya began shooting for S3, the third part in the very successful Singam series. The actor will wrap up the shooting for S3 in August.

Vishal and Lingusamy to team up for Sandakozhi 2

Rumours about a sequel to director Lingusamy's 2005 blockbuster Sandakozhi, starring Vishal, have been doing the rounds for more than a year now. 

The film ran for over 200 days becoming one of the highest grossing films of the year and the duo has often mentioned coming together for a sequel, but things never seemed to have panned out. 

There were also reports about Vishal wanting to produce the film but Lingusamy was busy with a Telugu project with Allu Arjun.

Now, the director has apparently postponed his Telugu project to direct Sandakozhi 2.

Vishal confirmed this on Twitter through a series of messages: 'Looks like S2 on da way. Details soon.GB'

'Lingusamy Yuvan Shankar raja Madhie. Luv dis combo. #S2 gonna be a Gud one.'

'Well well well. The villain character of #S2 gonna b Supa exciting.lookin fwd,' he wrote.

Trisha's Nayaki gets a release date

Trisha's much-awaited Tamil-Telugu bilingual Nayaki will finally release on July 7. It was supposed to release a month ago but got postponed due to unknown reasons. Set in the 1980s, the film is a horror comedy, directed by Govi.

The film is produced by Trisha's former manager Giridhar Mamidipally, and will feature Ganesh Venkatraman in a significant role.

This will be the first time that Trisha will be seen in a dual role. 

The cast also includes Sushma Raj, Sendrayan, Jayaprakash, Kovai Sarala and Brahmanandam.
