Aamir Khan may have played saviour to nephew Imran Khan's upcoming release Katti Batti

Director Nikhil Advani is reportedly set to acknowledge Aamir Khan as a 'creative consultant' on his new film, set to release September 18, that marks Imran Khan's comeback of sorts after three flops and a two-year paternity leave.

Advani admits that Aamir has not only provided invaluable inputs to improve the film but also re-written the film’s climax.

“Aamir has been maniacally obsessed with this film.

“He has gone all-out to ensure it turns out to be a special film. Katti Batti would not be the film it is now without Aamir’s contribution. After I signed Imran for the film I narrated the script to Aamir. He immediately suggested some changes that I incorporated,” says a grateful Advani.

But the most substantial input was yet to come.

“The last 22 minutes of Katti Batti are completely Aamir’s. I have no hesitation in acknowledging his contribution in any way he wants,” the director says.
