The mortal remains Feroz Khan were laid to rest in Bengaluru's Johnson Market graveyard, near his farmhouse in Chickbadarakaval. A procession was taken from the farmhouse to the burial ground, where quite a few of the actor's friends and relatives assembled.
His brother Sanjay Khan told mediapersons that it was Feroz's last wish to spend his last days in his farmhouse. "He loved his dogs in the farmhouse and was extremely possessive of them," Sanjay Khan said.
"He always believed in giving the best and made films with a westernized outlook," he added. "He always believed in hard work and never gave up despite facing bottlenecks. His creativity levels always remained at the top. He made sustained efforts to make huge films with the best artists and technicians in the industry."
"Feroz Khan's contribution to the Indian film industry is huge and the film industry has suffered a big loss," said his nephew Zayed Khan. Khan is Sanjay Khan's son. "He was an Indian style icon and was an inspiration to many youngsters like me."
Feroz's cousin Mirza Ismail said that the death of the actor has been a huge loss not only to the film fraternity but also to his close friends and relatives in Mumbai and Bengaluru. He described Feroz as a great human being, who was always courteous and helpful to people.
Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne and actor-director Sajid Khan were among those who flew to Bengaluru to pay their last respects.
Feroz was battling cancer for quite some time. He was being treated in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. His son Fardeen, daughter-in-law Natasha, daughter Laila, brother Sanjay and cousin Mirza Ismail were at his bedside when he passed away, said family sources.
