Mumbai got a sneak peek when his upcoming film, Chandni Chowk To China, was launched on Thursday at a surburban theatre.
Slated for release later in the year, Chandni Chowk is said to be a semi-autobiographical film on Akshay's life. The film traces the life of a chef, who is mistaken to be a martial arts expert.
Produced by Warner Brothers and directed by Nikhil Advani (Kal Ho Naa Ho, Salaam-E-Ishq), the film also stars Deepika Padukone in a double role, and Mithun Chakraborty.
The film is written by Sridhar Raghavan (of Khakee and Bluffmaster) and music has been composed by Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa.
