And he's not alone.

Fantasy-sculpting director Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus was the role Heath Ledger left unfinished when he tragically passed away. This is the actor's second film with Gilliam after The Brothers Grimm.

Gilliam finds an incredibly brilliant solution in his storyline, which had Ledger's character travelling -- via a mirror -- into different
dimensions. Gilliam says that since there are three dimensions, why not three actors then, to play Ledger's character each time he crosses to the parallel side?

So while the protagonist is played by Heath Ledger, there will be scenes where he'll be played by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Firth, as the situation -- and dimension -- demands.

A fascinating tribute concept, especially considering Ledger's last role, I'm Not There, a film where Ledger was one of six actors to play Bob Dylan.

Terry, hats off.
