Deepika or Preity: Who makes a better face on TV?
August 14, 2008 12:35 IST

Old is not gold, the advertising world seems to say. Especially if you're an actress.

Preity Zinta had to learn this the hard way, when she was dropped as the endorser for India's cellular network, BSNL, making way for the younger Deepika Padokune.

According to sources, Preity's contract with BSNL ended this month and they were not eager to retain her as their brand ambassador.

Recently, 34-year-old Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also had to make way for the younger

Katrina Kaif to endorse Nakshatra diamond jewellary. Of course, husband Abhishek Bachchan claimed that Ash had walked out because the terms of the contract did not suit her.

Before that, 30-year-old Rani Mukerji was asked to step down as the brand ambassador of Nestle's Munch, after endorsing it for four years.

What do you think? Would you prefer to watch a younger woman entice you into buying something, like Deepika or Katrina? Or would you prefer the classic beauties like Preity, Ash and Rani? Tell us!
