Shivraj Kumar breaks his silence over Kumara Rama

September 22, 2006 15:11 IST

Ever since Pattabhiram, producer of the costliest Kannada film Kumara Rama admitted publicly that the film was a disaster, everybody has been waiting for Shivraj Kumar, the hero, to react.

He has finally broken his silence. 'I have never done a post mortem of my films. If people like my films, they will accept them with open hands. If we have made some mistakes, they will certainly reject them. What is the use of crying over spilt milk?'

Later, Parvathamma Raj Kumar, a veteran film producer and Shivaraj's mother, criticised the film and said her husband, Kannada movie icon Dr Raj Kumar, would have had a heart attack if he had seen it. She criticised the producer, director Bhargava and also music director Guru Kiran for their shoddy work.

But Shivaraj Kumar says there is no point in looking back. "Let us look at the future. I have promised to do something for Pattabhiram to recoup his losses. We will sit down and discuss what should be done. One thing is sure, there was something very wrong with the film, as it received a big jolt at the box office.'

Shivaraj is presently acting in Thaayiya Madilu directed by S Narayan, where he teams up with Rakshitha.
