Anil Kapoor's 'best ever film'

Anil Kapoor is excited about My Wife's Murder. And that's Bollywood's understatement of the year.

This was the first script Ram Gopal Varma ever wrote, but never dared to direct.

So the task is entrusted to one of his formidable proteges, Jijy Philips, as a debut film. An interesting cast fills the film, with Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, Boman Irani and Nandana Sen joining Kapoor in what he calls his best ever film.

The film is made extremely slickly (Kapoor insists on 'Hitchcockian') and looks startlingly great.

In a nutshell, the film is about a man with a suddenly dead wife. And how that death plunges his everyman life into utter turmoil.

My Wife's Murder is slated to release on August 5.
