Over 2,000 workers, including 1,400 Indians, who went on strike five days ago in Bahrain said they have reached a verbal agreement with company representatives for a hike in their salary, paving the way for work to resume at the country's largest development project.
"The company representative verbally agreed to increase our salaries. But we are waiting for them to give it in writing," one of the agitating worker told the Tribune on Tuesday.
Over 2,000 workers, including 1,400 Indians, went on strike on Saturday at Durrat Al Bahrain residential development and resort, headed by G P Zachariades.
An official from the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions was
