PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Dear Siddharth, yes if the shares were transferred after purchase in your name then you can claim dividend. But beyond a certain years the companies have to invest unclaimed dividend with the government. But of the last 4-5 years atleast you should receive. I think you could switch to a better banking stock.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, BPCL being an oil sector stock the price largely related to price movements in Crude Oil prices. It could remain volatile. HLL has beena laggard over the last few quarters and has underperformed. I would switch to another growth stock.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would recommend frontline index stocks like Infosys, RIL, ITC, SBI, TCS etc. But the tech stocks should move once the rupee stabilizes. But invest on corrections and not on days when the markets are 100-200 points up.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hero Honda in the short term could be affected with the rise in interest rates which will hit the retail sales. So it could remain sluggish till the intrest rates move downwards. Geometric has given good results and can be held on to.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Anand, Hindalco is surely a longer term play. It has spiked up only because of the takeover rumour. ITC also you have at the higher end of the price range that ITC is moving in. I would suggest to average when the price falls below 150 levels like it did a couple of months back. Dabur surely hold on.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would surely hold on. Both stocks shall reap you decent returns. NTPC already has moved from 75 levels last year. If the markets correct sharply like in March'07 you could get in further.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Till the Rupee appreciates the stock should remain sluggish. Also a lot will depend on the june quarter results. If the weak dollar has indeed affected the results then there could be more weakness. But it is a short term factor, on a longer term Infosys should perform well.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Playing in nifty futures is tricky and one should not trade unless you have ample time to devote to your trading activities. Also the markets being volatile as they are you could land up losing money.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I don't think the markets could break 12,500. A correction that sharp will really shake up the market. But I don't see any reason for such a sharp correction.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I think the Capital of the company is only around 50 odd crores. Its March ending profits were 1400 crores. Its reserves are over 4500 crores. And it has an order book of over 10,000 crores for the next 5 years. So keeping this in mind I think L&T should outperform the market.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, If you are a longer term player then minor corrections should not bother you. If you wish to make money then you could exit at higher levels and then get in during the corrections. But what will be the peak of the market no one can predict.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, You could hold on to Indiabulls, Unitech. Infy and TCS are underperforming the markets due to the weakening of the dollar. Eventually they should start moving once they have been able to make adjustments to their pricing or the Rupee weakens.
